Tiger Wisdom

[noah] Blood does not get on your food, you know something? When your blood comes it runs from food because it does not want to mix. [mom]Who told you that?[/mom] [note]in a whisper...[/note]My tiger is a doctor too. But not many people listen to tiger wisdom. [/noah]

Oh the Tails

[noah] I wish I could hang in a tree, not from my legs, but from my butt. If only I had a tail like a possum. [/noah]

Coconut trees

[noah] [desc]Mom has been drinking lots of coconut water during these last weeks of pregnancy to help with her increase blood plasma.[/desc] Mom, there is a girl in Kenya that drinks pop. Why doesn't she drink good clean things? Is her well done yet? [mom]I highly doubt that she is drinking pop Noah. I don't know if her well is done yet, but having good things to drink is a problem.[/mom] In our next letter we'll tell her to climb a coconut tree and drink that. [/noah]

Kind lady

[noah] [desc]Noah and Frencesca are cleaning their toy room. They just threw out the dragons saying, "We don't like dragons!" Giovanna was standing there, and they said to her:[/desc] Kind lady, would you like to help clean up the junk? [/noah]

Where my kids at?

[noah] [desc]So we're a huge fan of the Toyota Sienna "Swagger Wagon" commercial. We let the kids watch it, and they too approved. At times both Noah and Dolly walk around singing:[/desc] Where my kids at. Where my kids at...
Mom. Now you have to say [mom]They are right over there.[/mom] ... and point to us. Then we are supposed to just stand here. [mom]Well actually, the kids were dancing. Like this. Swinging their hippos[/mom] Oh. Okay. Dolly! Dance! [/noah]

Spider Whip

[noah] [desc]Noah doesn't know anything about spider man except that, he's on some of his clothing. But he has seen characters dressed up during parades.[/desc] Mom, if I saw Spiderman in a parade, I would hug him. And he would like me and maybe give me his whup. [note]Then he runs around with a pretend whip.[/note] [mom]Where does he get this stuff? Does Spiderman even have a whip?[/mom] [/noah]

Our Pet Squirrel

[noah] [desc]We were out talking to a neighbor, and she asked if we knew there was a squirrel living in the hole in our garage.[/desc] [dad]Yes we did, I heard him scratching around in the wall[/dad] [note]Some time later[/note] Mom?! Since there is a squirrel living in the garage, does that mean we have a pet?! [mom]Well. I guess you could call it that. Go ask your dad.[/mom] Dad! DAD! We have a squirrel living in the garage, I guess we have a pet! And I like him. [dad]I'm happy for you man.[/dad] [/noah]

More Water?

[noah] [desc]We had been eating dinner around the table one evening.[/desc] Mom, can I have a glass of water please? [mom]Can you ask you dad, I'm still eating my dinner?[/mom] Dad, can you get me some water? [dad]Noah, can you as Giovanna, because I'm still eating? Giovanna? Please get Noah some more soup.[/dad] [note]Noah gives me a very naughty stare.[/note] [dad]I'm being silly, aren't I.[/dad] Yes. (looking very concerned.) Because I asked for water. [/noah]

Did you see that?!

[noah] [desc]Mom had taken the kids to the Chebance Recreation Center (aka: The Pit) for a swim on a hot day.[/desc] Hey mom! Look! A man with nursers! [mom]*facepalm*[/mom] [/noah]

Yes, our diet has changed

[noah] [desc]The kids have been bringing me (mom) pretend food that they made.[/desc] Here mom. We are pretending you are the Mom you were when Noah was one, and you let us eat sugar cereal.

Don't worry, next we'll pretend we are 5 and eat spinach. [/noah]

That hair comes later son

[noah] [desc]Mom recently gave Noah a mohawk. The real deal. He really wanted it for a while, and mom was skeptical. But he saw one in public some time later and exclaimed, "Mom! That's the hair I want." So she did it. Recently Noah explained the next haircut he wants.[/desc] I want hair like papa Sparenburg. Hair on the sides, and no hair on top. [/noah]

Pig tiller

[noah] [mom]Dad is working on tilling tonight, so we can get our garden planted.[/mom] Does tilling mean tearing up the the ground to see the dirt? [mom]Yes, it's loud and dangerous for you to be near.[/mom] I got it mom. We'll drive to our farmers, borrow a pig, put him in our van and have him dig up our lawn. Then we can have bacon too. When he's done we'll bring him back to the babies at the farmer. [mom]Noah, you have the best ideas sometimes.[/mom] [/noah]

Kids Communion

[noah] [desc]Noah and Frencesca got crackers as a snack, and they were talking about why they picked them.[/desc] Momma, I got crackers so when I see a red car I can eat them and remember Jesus' body was broken and He died, just like all my crackers. (Turning to his sister.) Did you get crackers with holes because He had nails in his hands? [/noah] [dolly] Yes, He had holes in His hands, and His body was broken, and died for me! [/dolly] [noah]Great! Let's eat![/noah]

Highlight of the day

[noah] [desc]Earlier that day, we were at the store looking around.[/desc] [mom]What did you like most about today?[/mom] I liked it when Dad picked up the skateboard with no handles and I thought he was going to buy it for me. [/noah]

Worship

[noah] [desc]Generally our kids prayers are pretty repetitious and similar in wording. I coach them to really speak to God and talk to him about our cares and concerns, because He really loves to hear them and take care of them. Tonight, entirely uncoaxed, Noah prayed. It was very precious. We had been reading from Luke 19 where Jesus defends the disciples by saying, "If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."[/desc] God, I only want to worship you. [/noah]

Hamburgers on the Grill

[noah] [desc]The kids were playing, and making hamburgers for lunch. They were having a great old time! This is also one of the warmest days we've had this year, at 64°![/desc] [mom]You know, we're having hamburgers on the grill for dinner tonight![/mom] We are? Why would we eat hamburgers? [mom]Because it's warm out, and it's a great time to cook out.[/mom] Well, why would we eat hamburgers if they are bad for us? [mom]Well...[/mom] Is it the good meat from the farmer? [mom]Yes, it is.[/mom] Is the cheese the good kind of cheese? [mom]No, it isn't. Not this time.[/mom] Well, we shouldn't eat it. [/noah]
